The countdown to the 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano (8th–13th April 2025, Fiera Milano, Rho) has begun, reaffirming its position as the world’s most influential design event. Set across 169,000 sqm of sold-out exhibition space, the event will once again bring together the international design community, welcoming over 370,000 visitors from 146 countries. The 2025 edition focuses on sustainable innovation, craftsmanship, and emotional intelligence, shaping the future of design through cutting-edge exhibitions, immersive cultural experiences, and global industry insights.

Key Highlights of Salone 2025

The Return of Euroluce & The First Euroluce International Lighting Forum
Following the success of The City of Lights in 2023, Euroluce returns as the definitive global platform for lighting design. This year, the event introduces the inaugural Euroluce International Lighting Forum (10th–11th April, Pavilion 2), a two-day programme featuring 20+ international speakers, including designers, architects, scientists, and biologists. Under the theme Light for Life. Light for Spaces., discussions will explore AI integration, biophilic design, and smart lighting technologies, pushing the boundaries of innovation in illumination.

A Revamped Exhibition Layout & A Luxury Way
Salone 2025 continues its mission to enhance the visitor experience with new themed routes and an improved layout in Pavilions 13-15 and 22-24, making navigation more intuitive and fluid. This year introduces A Luxury Way, a curated exhibition celebrating Italy’s heritage of timeless craftsmanship, bringing together master artisans and leading brands.

SaloneSatellite: Celebrating Emerging Talent
Dedicated to the next generation of designers, SaloneSatellite returns with 700 young talents from 36 countries and 20 top design schools. The 2025 theme, New Craftsmanship: A New World, reimagines artisanal techniques in contemporary design, bridging heritage with sustainability and cultural identity.

A Cultural Programme of Global Visionaries
Salone 2025 offers an unparalleled Cultural Programme, blending design, architecture, and the arts. The lineup includes:
* Pierre-Yves Rochon – Villa Héritage (Pavilions 13-15): A visionary interior design project from the acclaimed French architect behind the world’s most luxurious hotels.
* Paolo Sorrentino – La dolce attesa (Pavilions 22-24): An immersive cinematic installation by the Oscar-winning director, exploring anticipation and beauty.
* Robert Wilson – Mother (Museo Pietà Rondanini – Castello Sforzesco): A poetic dialogue between Wilson’s artistic vision and Michelangelo’s final, unfinished masterpiece, accompanied by the music of Arvo Pärt.

At the heart of the fair, the Drafting Futures Talks & Round Tables (Pavilion 14) will host thought-provoking discussions featuring global leaders such as Lesley Lokko, architect and curator of the Venice Biennale, and Valeria Segovia, Director at Gensler London, the world’s largest architecture firm.

Milan Comes Alive: Salone in the City
Beyond the fairgrounds, Milan transforms into a global design hub, with:

* The Design Kiosk in Piazza della Scala, a vibrant hub for talks and presentations.
