Pendant lighting is great for general lighting in rooms. You can add decorating features such as shades, art pieces and bowls for pendant lights hung in rooms to add a major style element to your decor. Equipped with shades to avoid glare, pendant light fixtures are also suitable for task lighting over kitchen islands, tables, counters, and other task areas. The use of a dimmer will give you the flexibility to vary the light output as well. Mini pendants are smaller shaped pendant light that gives the space a contemporary or modern feel. Often used as general lighting in dining rooms, kitchens, hallways and entrances, chandeliers can also add effect to a bedroom or living room. As they are a dominant center piece, the chandelier’s style will pretty much set the tone for a room’s decor more than any other lighting fixture. Most chandeliers are design to provide a general overall light, although you can add shades, glass, or reflectors to concentrate light directly on the surface below. They are available in incandescent, halogen, and now energy-saving LED light sources.
Lighting Controls
Adding a dimmer will allow you to vary the illumination to match your current atmosphere; whether it’s a brighter light for an informal gathering or a softer, flattering light for a formal dinner.
Fan Lighting Fixtures
Fan lighting fixtures are increasingly becoming a popular choice for many rooms including kitchens, bedrooms, and dens. The combination of these fixtures with dans helps to provide good general lighting and cooling for the room at one time. As with chandeliers, fan fixtures can also be versatile with the addition of a dimmer control to vary the light intensity.
Energy Saving Lighting

The light-emitting diode (LED) is one f today’s most energy-efficient and rapidly-developing lighting technologies. LED light bulbs last longer, are more durable, and offer comparable or better light quality than other types of lighting.
LED lighting is very different from other lighting sources such as incandescent and fluorescent as LEDs emit light in a specific direction, reducing the need for reflectors and diffusers that can trap light. Compared to other types of lighting, the light must be reflected to the desired direction and more than half of the light may never leave the fixture. This makes LEDs more efficient for many uses such as recessed down lights and task lighting, Best of all LEDs emit very little heat, giving you more saving whilst being more environmentally friendly.
Wall Lighting

As they are often seen at eye level, these fixtures have a strong influence on the decor and mood of the room. Wall fixtures can also be used for outdoor applications. While they can contribute to a general lighting plan, wall fixtures usually serve as accent or task lighting. With that in mind, wall fixtures that employ exposed or partially exposed light bulbs are particularly well suited for use as task lighting along a bathroom mirror.
Outdoor Solar Lights

Outdoor solar lights are easy to install and virtually maintenance free. They are also environmental friendly as outdoor solar lighting systems use solar cells, which convert sunlight into electricity. The electricity is stored in batteries for use at night. Types for outdoor solar lighting include pathway light sets, wall-mounted lamps, freestanding lamp posts and security lights.
