Yogi expert and brand ambassador, Atilia Harun, 42, loves food as much as she loves yoga. As an active celebrity, teaching yoga almost every day, Atilia definitely has an appetite for good food, and with a Malay-Indian-Chinese background, her life certainly revolves around food. What’s even better though is that is she loves to cook for herself, as she explained to us, “I love to cook! I learnt from my mum, so the dishes I tend to make are spicy Malay dishes with lots of spices.”
Regardless of what she cooks, she always insists on adding spice to it, as she did with her western, but not-so-western style spaghetti Bolognese that she made for us at the recent photo shoot with Fotile. Preparing the dish with plenty of fresh ingredients, Atilia told us that cooking food at home is much nicer and healthier than eating out, as firstly you control what you put in, and in Atilia’s case, extra chillies, because for her you can never have enough.
Despite having a hectic schedule, practicing yoga and meditating is one of her main priorities in her life. She describes it as giving you “a more positive outlook on life” and a great way to de-stress. Even though her lifestyle is busy, she tries to cook as much as she can at home, hence most of her home cooked meals can be whipped up within 30 minutes – “quick, easy and delicious” as she calls it.
