Designed by Zids Design Sdn Bhd to reflect a distinctive modern contemporary style, this 4,000 sqft home features a series of well-designed spaces, all created to ensure the owners have a comfortable abode to come home to.
In the living room, earthy tones come together via the use of lush furnishing. What stands out immediately is the feature wall that accommodates the flat screen TV. Light glistening veins against the swirl of dark tones immediately catch the eye, before directing our vision to the complementary shades of bronze and muted browns and beiges all around.
Overlooking the living room is the dry kitchen where the walls have been removed to create an open space. A breakfast counter with barstools elegantly delineate this space from the living room. Framed by timber detailing, the kitchen takes on a polished appearance through the use of glossy white kitchen cabinets.
From here, the dry kitchen opens into the well-furnished wet kitchen.

Adjacent to it, a large cabinet holding the owners’ favourite paraphernalia creates a point of interest before leading us to the stairway.
Upstairs, every single area has been meticulously done up to blend in with the main concept while offering its individual ambience at the same time. For instance, the TV hall features contemporary details set in grey which look like a continuation from the spaces below; but it has its own warm industrial look which is achieved through the use of sleek grey panelling.

Each of the seven bedrooms in this house has its own signature touch as well. Lavender is the key colour of the master bedroom while electric blue is the highlight of one of the other bedrooms.

In the latter, the striking blue tone is used to outline several details, like the unique wall shelf that morphs into the study table as well as the panels on the wardrobe.
In another room, probably for a younger family member, a Hello Kitty- themed room takes centrestage complete with wall decals and bedsheets featuring this cartoon character.
Rest And Relax: There’s also a family room upstairs that features a wall of books, decorative display and cosy corners.
For the exterior, the garden and yard are kept minimal and clutter-free. Black tiles envelope the patio, contrasting with the lush green landscapes all around. Throughout this home, the cohesive use of colours and materials have resulted in a wonderful abode that’s full of personality.
