SOMETHING’S DEFINITELY VERY STRIKING about this home, but in a subtle way that slowly pulls you in. SQFT Space Design Management truly has a knack for creating “wow” factors that balance everything else – and this double storey home is no exception. In the living room itself, we cannot help but be comforted by the grey-blue palette which slowly unveils its best features in the form of the feature wall that expresses a 3-dimensional effect and the streamlined detailing that expands into every room in this house. Soft furnishing including the decorative rug, accent pillows and sheer curtains all come in to carry the cool-toned concept further.
At the dining area, an all-white built-in storage space is flushed against the walls. Here, motifs on the white surfaces connect the design of the different spaces, including the kitchen which takes on the same greyish tone. Delving further into the kitchen, we found another pleasant surprise –facing the island is a large art print depicting New York’s city skyline.
The art print treatment is used again in various spots upstairs – for instance in the family hall and one of the bedrooms. The master bedroom takes on the same cool grey tone, but the other bedrooms feature a lighter blue tone to offer a youthful appeal. Open shelves are used here and there, mostly for decorative purposes, while furniture are kept minimal to maintain the clean and streamlined appearance of this house.
