Opening on 14 November 2025, National Gallery Singapore will present Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston – Southeast Asia’s largest ever showing of French Impressionism. Developed jointly by the National Gallery Singapore and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, which houses one of the world’s largest Impressionist collections outside of France, this must-see blockbuster features over 100 iconic works by 25 artists, including Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Édouard Manet, Paul Cézanne, Berthe Morisot, and Edgar Degas – all of which have never been shown in Southeast Asia before. Visitors can also discover Impressionism’s legacy in Southeast Asia through dedicated reflection zones and interactive learning stations that showcase how Impressionist techniques were adapted in the region. Monumental-scale archival materials, including historical photographs and posters, enhance the exhibition design, adding visual layers that deepen engagement with the iconic artworks on display.
